Karabo Magongwa was born in 2008 to Patricia Magongwa. She grew up and studied in South Africa.


Young actress Karabo Magongwa attended Johannesburg Institutional Primary School. Her mother registered her with an agency when she was still tender. Eventually, she won the role in a commercial for Oreo.


Magongwa starred in a television commercial for Oreos in 2013. She portrayed Tjontjo in Abomama, a drama show that revolves around the lives of four church women on Mzansi Magic.

The actress played Azania in the Mzansi Magic drama series aYeYe (season one). She appeared as Malefo in the SABC2 drama Bone of My Bones.

In seasons one and two of the e.tv soap opera House of Zwide, Karabo plays Keletso. Playing Lesedi in the Mzansi Magic drama Imposter further gained her prominence.
