Canan Moodie was born on 5 November 2002 in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. He attended Boland Agricultural High School.


The rugby union player joined the Blue Bulls side for the 2022 Currie Cup Premier Division. His first game for the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup was against the Western Province in Round 2.

Canan made it in the Springboks touring squad on 22 August to play away matches against Australia in the Rugby Championship. He scored a try in the thirty-eight minute in his Test debut against Australia in Sydney.

Moodie has five Test caps to his name and scored a superb try against the Wallabies in Australia in 2022.
