Early Life and Education
Rina Hugo was born in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She holds a B.Mus. degree from the North-West University (then still Potchefstroom University for CHO) in 1970. She was a member of the Alabama Student Society.
Career
Rina Hugo excelled in many genres as a soloist. She has done Opera, oratorio, operetta, musicals, the art song, and light music.
Her inauguration as a living legend in the South African legends museum was on 26 January 2020. She was among the twenty legends of whom a bust was also made.
Personal Life
Rina Hugo is a proud mother and wife. She and her husband, Johan van Rensburg, have a daughter Anri van der Linde.
