Amo Chidi (born 5 February 1990) is a South African internet personality, dancer, singer, and actress. She is best known for playing Reneilwe in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City.
As a teenager, she entered the reality competition High School Musical: Spotlight South Africa in 2008. She made it as one of the top forty finalists. She represented South Africa in the Netherlands in the Pan African: Daughters of Africa show.

Amo Chidi was born Amogelang Zoe Chidi on 5 February 1991 in South Africa during apartheid.
Career
Amo Chidi played Reneilwe in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City. Her character is Mamokete’s niece and the best friend of 16-year-old Mampho. She made her debut on the show in 2012.
The actress appeared first on television as a ten-year-old. She entered the SABC2’s singing competition Light House and finished as a top 10 finalist.
Amo entered the M-Net High School Music: Spotlight South Africa in 2008. She finished among the Top 40 finalists in the reality competition.
The television personality has landed many roles in several television productions.
Chidi played the young girl in the internationally celebrated musical show The African Mama’s, joining the cast in August 2010 for a woman’s month show at the Durban Playhouse Theatre.
Amo landed a role in the Daughters of Africa, a pan-African show. It featured twelve women from all over Africa. She represented South Africa in the show, touring the Netherlands for six months.
The singer continued cooperating with the mama’s in a successful show, the African Mama’s Sing Mama Africa, a tribute to Miriam Makeba. It also toured the Netherlands.
Apart from television series, Amo has done many TV commercials. She presented the Design and Automobile on DStv’s Africa Magic channel. Chidi starred in her first comedy film Mjolo Ke Scam on 31 July.

Around late March 2020, Amo bid farewell to the e.tv television series Rhythm City. She appeared in the show for eight years as Reneilwe.
